“To him that overcomes, I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.” Revelation 2:17
Father, help me to be an overcomer. I look forward to the day when You will place that white stone in my palm and I will see that special name You have in store for just me written on it. I will treasure that precious name, knowing that my faithfulness to You was a direct result of Your faithfulness to me. In the name of the One who overcame for me. Amen

“From everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children.” Psalm 103:17
Thank You for Your unending love.
Father, You loved us before we even knew You.
You made sacrifices for us before we were born.
Your love reached us while we were yet sinners.
Your love for us is the same today, tomorrow and forever.
I want to bask in that love I want to let it so overwhelm me that I can do nothing else but respond to this world with the same kind of love. Let me be the conduit for Your love, Father. Let it flow through me to others. Amen

“Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.” Psalm 51:7
Hyssop is a plant mentioned in the Bible as the source of twigs used for sprinkling the blood of the Passover lamb on the doorposts of the Hebrews’ homes. What a beautiful picture for us of the value of the blood of Christ! His blood cleansed us and saved us just as the blood of the Passover lamb saved the Israelites from the angel of death.
How wonderful to know that Jesus’ blood has cleansed us from all of our sins! He pulled us up from the mud pit of sin and washed away all the things in our lives that made us filthy in God’s sight.

“I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever.” Psalm 86:12
Surely we would all agree that God is worthy of our praise and glory, but how do we praise God with all our heart?

“And what you have heard from me through many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others as well.” 2 Timothy 2:2
I was taught by faithful parents. They put their trust in God first and passed on to their children the teachings of salvation and faith in Christ.
For others, it has been the teachings of faithful friends, who have brought them to a knowledge of Christ Jesus. God has given us faithful elders and faithful brothers and sisters to teach us valuable things from His Word. In each of our lives, we have been influenced spiritually by faithful people who have taught us of God and His Son, Jesus Christ. They have shared their faith with us and, in turn, have helped our faith to grow. It is because of their faithfulness that we have found guidance and help to continue on. Whoever the faithful people are in your life, give God glory for the difference they have made in your Christian walk.
Father,
Thank You for the faithful parents You gave me who pointed me toward You and left me the legacy of Your love.
Continue to place in my life people who are faithful brothers and sisters who will point me in the right direction. Help me to do the same for them.
May all glory and honor be Yours as You continue to work out in me Your purpose.
Amen

“Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.” Psalm 105:4
When we have made God such an integral part of our lives, that we seek constantly to be in His presence, then and only then will we be able to find total victory in our lives. It will be then that we live and move in His strength, not our own. It will be then that our hearts will rejoice when we see the strength of the LORD take over in the struggles. Let us commit to “seek his face always,” to live in his presence, that we might always look to Him in trials and struggles and seek his strength.

“May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.” 2 Thessalonians 3:5
Father, help us to love as You love.
Teach us to love others, especially those who are unlovable.
Jesus, teach us to persevere as you did; to reach out to those who were hurting and to never give up on anyone.
We thank you for your example and pray that as we learn to love as you love, we will bring glory and honor to your name. Amen

I’m voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.
I’m voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.
I’m voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they’re doing because they now think we’re good people.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe that people who can’t tell us if it will rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt
away in ten years if I don’t start driving a Prius.
I’m voting Democrat because I’m not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as Government sees fit.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe three or four pointy headed elitist liberals need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit
some fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe that when the terrorists don’t have to hide from us over there, they will come over here and I won’t

I’m voting Democrat because I believe oil companies’ profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn’t.
